Home – This song from Depeche Mode was always in my the back of my head. For some reason I was a little bit afraid of making a cover of it. I’ve been thinking about it as a pure essence of Depeche Mode’s deep dark side. However I knew that eventually I would make a piano version of this song, but I had to dig deep. It’s one of the strongest live performance songs performed by Martin. There was a couple of piano versions for this song in my mind, but I decided to approach the cover from the live performance with piano accompaniment. I was very cautious during the buildup, because I feel like this song deserves full care in details. I kept the chords and the leading melody strictly the same, according to the original performance.
