The melody is unique, the chords give you a mesmerizing mood and the lyric is absolutely gorgeous. This cover was actually made for my brother's wedding day. So I was very cautious to make it accurate, clean and beautiful. In the end I am playing beside the basic piano, also the vocals sung in the original version. From Depeche Mode, 1986 saw the release of the Black celebration album. This song was chosen as the most commercial one in the US, despite of the other deeper songs like Stripped or Black Celebration. Honestly, I am not impressed by the original version. However, when I saw the Martin's live performance, I was absolutely blown away. That's the way the song really shines! The tempo was decreased, the piano and Martin's voice... it is a deep magical perfection. I felt like there was no way not to learn that song. I was looking for for some kind of tutorials, but a couldn't find a proper one. So I created my own version. Now I want to share with you. 1993 saw the release of a new DM album called Songs of Faith and Devotion. This was the second and the absolute peak of success of the band. The album contains giant hits like I feel you, In your room, Walking in my shoes. There are also songs with slower rhythm like One caress, Judas, Condemnation. I think these ballads are by far the best from Martin Gore. The song Condemnation reflects the mood of the album in the most unique way. When we look at it to see the whole picture, the lyrics, chords, melody, mood and the music video, we can see perfection. Martin has an unbelievable sense and ability to create something, that people will like all over the world forever. This cover is based on the live performance from One night in Paris – The Exciter Tour. The original version of this song is from B, but this performance is tuned down to G with slightly modified chords. I made this cover according to the live show, so the chords are matching the chords in the performance. I also added the vocals sung at the end of the song. By this, the cover got a little playfulness beside very unique structure and sounding. If you learn it, you can feel elation during playing the song. It’s worth to learn it my friends. The song Judas is from the Songs of Faith and Devotion album. It’s a beautiful love song written and sung by Martin Gore. The original version of this song is from C#, however I made this cover based on the live performance in Bilbao 2013, which is tuned down to C and slowed down a bit. The song is very unique, especially with the vocal melody, smoothly touching religion and love as well. The chords are relatively simple and the words are amazing as we expect from Martin. You should know that the ref. chords are slightly different from the original version. There's one little change, in that I added an F chord to the end of the ref. It's base on a one of the live performances, and by that the whole melody vibrates nicer. It’s easy to learn, so learn and play it my friend!

Waiting for the night - Year 1990, a new Depeche Mode album called Violator was released. This was the point of reaching the first peak of the DM band. There are massive hits on this album like Personal Jesus, Enjoy the silence and so on. Beside these rhythmical songs, is a song named ‘’Waiting for the night’’. The lyrics of the song is absolutely gorgeous, we can hear Alan’s influence in the music, so the whole composition is a masterpiece. I liked this song since I first heard it, but wasn’t my favorite. After a while I saw the live version of this song on YouTube from 2009 in Barcelona. The performance of Dave and Martin was stunning. My attention toward this song was rising insistently. Now I feel like it’s up to top ten in my book. So eventually, I was asked to make a piano cover for this song from a friend on YouTube. This was the perfect time to do it, because I would like to make all the big DM songs for piano. I made it simple, clear, keeping the mood of the song as much as possible. Home – This song from Depeche Mode was always in my the back of my head. For some reason I was a little bit afraid of making a cover of it. I’ve been thinking about it as a pure essence of Depeche Mode’s deep dark side. However I knew that eventually I would make a piano version of this song, but I had to dig deep. It’s one of the strongest live performance songs performed by Martin. There was a couple of piano versions for this song in my mind, but I decided to approach the cover from the live performance with piano accompaniment. I was very cautious during the buildup, because I feel like this song deserves full care in details. I kept the chords and the leading melody strictly the same, according to the original performance. My favorite performance is from 2001 Live in Paris. Angel-like voice and dresses, with a single piano. Perfection. I had to do the piano version of it. There is a solo part in the song where one chord in the original version is played from Cm, however the live performance is from Gm. So I decided to play both chords to retain each of the moods. They did it exactly the same as with But Not Tonight. Pure magic! My favorite live version is from Live in Milan. In my humble opinion we can see Martin's one of the best performances. I Want You Now was released in 1988. I think this song was outstanding, because of the advanced samples and the erotic lyrics. The mood of the song is clearly intimate and sexual. I really like the original version, but the 1990 live performance in Frankfurt is my absolute favorite. The piano cover is made based on that live version and I divided it into three parts, so it's easier to learn. I made it as simple as possible, but I was careful not to lose the incredible deep and strange beauty feeling of the song. I can hardly compare to any other songs. It's simply different. Try to play it on some kind a grand piano, it sounds beautifully. Learn it, and show to your friends.

The song Heaven was released in 2013. It's the third song from album Delta Machine. It's heavily vocal melody oriented and the chord structure is quite simple. I Feel Loved - Guys, I have to be honest here, there were plenty of piano versions of this song in my head, but when Dave's voice came in, the whole picture changed. Everything that I tried to play simply interrupted the leading melody of singing. So I had to keep the piano clear, simple but dynamic as well. During practising, I realised that I can change and add new chords without losing the original message of the song. Ultimately, I slowed it down, re-chorded and beside the piano I added beautiful octave slow strings as well. I think that now we can see the true beauty of Martin's lyric and melody with Dave’s voice in this song. I am more than happy to be able to make a piano cover for this amazing DM hit. The structure of the song is relatively easy, the lyrics are a little bit unusual in my humble opinion and the chords are managed in interesting way as we can except from a genius songwriter. The song is rhythmical, easy to digest, and the melody captures our ears instantly. It was only a matter of time for me to make a cover for this great DM song. I have learned a lot from this experience and I very happy that I was able to catch a mood of this song and the overall atmosphere of the cover is not far from the original version. Painkiller is an instrumental song by Depeche Mode recorded during the production of the album ULTRA. It was released as a B-side on the Barrel Of A Gun single on 3th of February 1997. Painkiller was played live on the 1998 The Singles Tour as an intro song. To me, this song represents the deepest and the darkest side of the Depeche Mode, there is however a kind of real life element to it. When I thought about making a cover of this song, I decided to mix the two versions (Painkiller and Junior Painkiller) together. I have used multiple grand piano tracks and the octave slow strings as well. I have also used a lot of reverb effects, an original effect and the Dave’s voice about addiction, to be able to reach the deepest and darkest realms of life. I Feel You was released on 15th of February 1993. It’s the 27th UK single by Depeche Mode from the album Songs of Faith and Devotion. This masterpiece represents the whole new world of the Depeche Mode. A more rock oriented sound with guitars, real drums but with electronic sounds included as well. This was probably the most challenging cover for me to make so far. Due to the perfect instrumentation, dynamics and rhythm, DM created a very strong electro-rock song. I tried to maintain the mood of the song as close as possible. I have used couple of tracks of Grand Pianos and an Octave Slow Strings to get more richness from the song. The chords match the original version, with slightly slowed down BPM. The video used in the cover is the video projected during the SOFAD live performances. This is one of the many very successful songs created by DM, as we can see on the live performances as well. These kinds of DM songs are the most challenging to create in a piano version. The rhythmical electronic sounding is so perfectly made, that the idea of using only a piano requires a wholly new approach to reconstructing the song. It is inevitable to bring a dynamic sound into a more balladic mood if you want to preserve the essence and the beauty of the song in the cover using only a piano instrument. I have used no re-chord solutions, no own ideas, only I slowed down the BPM a little bit. It is easy to play on the piano, and still accurate according to the original version. I used the Octave Slow Strings as well with a couple of the original effects to get closer to the original feeling. It is easy to learn and play. The Landscape is changing was released in August 22. 1983 by Depeche Mode from album Construction Time Again. This song was written by Alan Wilder. He was inspired by a TV documentary about acid rain which gave him the idea for The landscape is changing.
When I was working on this song, I have immediately realized that the lyrics are different from what we expect from Depeche Mode usually. I feel that this song is a little bit underrated, however I think it has a beautiful melody, great rhythm, and real Depeche Mode mood.
Beside the main piano I used 2 tracks of rhythm bass piano and an additional piano to reach the essence of the song as close as possible.
There are two versions of the midi files. One contains the left and the right hand of the main piano, and the other contains the full song with all the piano tracks.

Even so I decided to make a piano cover of this all time classic Depeche Mode song. I tried to keep the rhythm and the essence of the song as real as I can. There were no re-chord experiments, no own creative parts, except one little adjustment. I decided to slightly slow down the BPM to adapt the piano sounding into this rhythmical dynamic song. The bridge in the middle of this song is based on the live performance from ‘’One Night In Paris’’. Through the song I have used Big Octave Strings to reach a little bit of balladic feelings. This piano version is easy to learn and easy to play. Now I want to share with you guys this masterpiece from the genius Martin Gore.
