Waiting for the night - Year 1990, a new Depeche Mode album called Violator was released. This was the point of reaching the first peak of the DM band. There are massive hits on this album like Personal Jesus, Enjoy the silence and so on. Beside these rhythmical songs, is a song named ‘’Waiting for the night’’. The lyrics of the song is absolutely gorgeous, we can hear Alan’s influence in the music, so the whole composition is a masterpiece. I liked this song since I first heard it, but wasn’t my favorite. After a while I saw the live version of this song on YouTube from 2009 in Barcelona. The performance of Dave and Martin was stunning. My attention toward this song was rising insistently. Now I feel like it’s up to top ten in my book. So eventually, I was asked to make a piano cover for this song from a friend on YouTube. This was the perfect time to do it, because I would like to make all the big DM songs for piano. I made it simple, clear, keeping the mood of the song as much as possible.
